Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V.
The Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen offers support to children with cancer and their families.
2024
We are pleased to announce another significant contribution as part of our "VAT Advantage for a good cause" campaign. In April 2024, we once again made a generous donation of 86,666 euros to the Förderverein für krebskranker Kinder Tübingen e.V. (Tübingen Children's Cancer Support Association). These funds were used to support the operation and continuous improvement of the association's accommodation, which is invaluable for affected families.
The Förderverein für krebskranker Kinder Tübingen e.V. is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children with cancer and their families in difficult times. With our donation, a large part of the maintenance costs for the homes, which are not covered by parental contributions, could be covered. This ensures that the association can continue to provide the necessary food, accommodation and care.
Families who find themselves in a stressful situation due to their child's serious illness find a temporary home in the shelters run by the association. The donations went towards the continuous improvement and maintenance of these homes to provide maximum comfort and security for the families. Every contribution helps to create an environment in which the families feel supported and which gives them the space to focus on what is important - the recovery of their children.
With our support, we are helping the support association to continue its important work. By providing accommodation and support for the families affected, together we are creating a strong network that provides support in difficult times. We know that such support is invaluable for the families and are proud to be a part of this valuable work.
2021
The Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen is a recognized non-profit association that has been supporting children with cancer and their families for over 35 years. During the difficult and stressful time of the child's treatment and after the treatment has been completed, the association aims to give families courage, help and hope:
- in the parents' house and family house, where parents can live during the children's clinical therapy and find a ’temporary home’
- by providing psychosocial support for families during therapy, in palliative situations and in the post-therapy period with organised leisure activities for patients, their parents and siblings or for orphaned parents
- by funding staff positions, financial support for research and a wide range of support services for patients and their parents on the wards
