Children need music

For many years, our foundation has been committed to supporting children who have been traumatized by abuse, violence and neglect.
A project close to our hearts that we have been supporting for many years is music therapy in the "Mattisburg Halle", a shelter run by the Ein Platz für Kinder foundation. On June 28, 2024, we were once again able to hand over a donation of 10,000 euros to secure this valuable service for the future.

The "Mattisburg Halle" - A safe place for traumatized children

The "Mattisburg Halle" offers children a protected space. These children have often experienced severe trauma. Many of them are so severely traumatized that conventional care facilities such as foster families or homes are not sufficient to offer them the support they need.
Since its opening in January 2020, the "Mattisburg Halle" has been a refuge for these children. Here, they not only receive a safe home, but also much-needed therapeutic support. Music therapy is an integral part of the therapeutic offer and has proven to be particularly effective.

Why music therapy?

Many of the children affected are unable to put their terrible experiences into words. This is where music therapy comes in: It offers the children a non-verbal way to express their feelings and process their traumatic experiences. Music creates a protected space in which the children can be creative and in which they are able to process fear-inducing experiences.

Long-term support with heart

Our foundation is proud to provide long-term support for this important project together with Rolf Zuckowski and his "Children need music" initiative. Every year, we make a contribution to ensure that the children in the "Mattisburg Halle" continue to have access to this life-changing form of therapy.
Music can heal, calm and open up new perspectives. We are grateful to be part of this special project and will continue to support it wholeheartedly.
