Our support for SOS Children's Villages
2025
In June 2025, our proWIN Foundation was able to make another important contribution to alleviating the suffering in the Ukraine war: EUR 20,000 was donated to SOS Children's Villages to provide targeted support for war-wounded children and young people in Ukraine. The funds will go towards a comprehensive emergency aid program that offers affected families rapid and sustainable support.
Medical care is only the first step
Many injured children receive urgently needed medical help through the program. But just as important is the time afterwards: the psychological care and support that helps them and their families to come to terms with what they have experienced and to find new courage. Our donation was primarily used for measures that are not covered by the healthcare system or insurance - in particular for:
- Psychological stabilization & trauma management
- Family support & assistance in everyday life after serious injuries
- Promoting child development despite war experience
- Creation of a protected environment
Hope and stability for children at war
The situation in Ukraine remains tense - especially for children who are not only physically injured but also deeply shaken emotionally. The SOS Children's Villages have been tirelessly providing help since the beginning of the war - with emergency shelters, medical care, psychosocial support and long-term support.
We are grateful that we have been able to make a small contribution to this important work with our sponsorship - giving children new prospects and support where war has destroyed everything else.

2024
The SOS Children's Village has been committed to providing children in challenging life situations with a sense of security and support for many years. Our donation of €10,000 will help to further expand the animal-assisted education project.
Animal-assisted education plays an important role for children who have had stressful bonding experiences in the past. Contact with animals enables them to build emotional bonds and gain trust in a safe environment. Children who have difficulties with closeness and distance or who are dealing with experiences of abuse in particular benefit from this gentle support. Children who are tired of therapy are also motivated by the animals and experience valuable moments in which they can interact actively and independently.
We are proud to support the SOS Children's Village Saar in its important work and to help children in difficult life situations to find new perspectives and hope.

2020
The German SOS Children's Villages Association has been committed to the well-being of children, young people and families since 1955 - both in Germany and worldwide. In addition to the SOS Children's Villages, many other SOS services for children, young people and families have been established over the years.
Children and young people who can no longer grow up in their biological families find a new home thanks to the services offered by SOS Children's Villages.
In day care centers, SOS Children's Villages helps children to develop their own potential. The staff at the counseling services advise and help children, young people and families with a wide range of questions, problems and crises. Parents and children find support in the mothers' centers and multi-generation houses. The SOS village communities offer people with disabilities a place to live and work.

The "Playing at home" project supports families who do not make use of daycare or daycare centers. They learn about the learning opportunities offered by playing together.
