On Foundation Day 2024, we had the honor of supporting the Theodora Foundation with a generous donation of € 10,000. This special foundation was established in 1993 by André and Jan Poulie to give children in hospitals and institutions for children with disabilities precious moments of joy and laughter - inspired by the memory of their mother, Theodora.
A core part of the foundation is the use of professional artists, the so-called Dream Doctors, who regularly visit hospitals and specialized institutions. Through humor and empathetic performances, they create moments of distraction and joy for children who often find themselves in stressful situations.
Our donation particularly supports the "Dream in an Emergency" project. This important program supports paediatric emergency departments, which are characterized by tension and long waiting times, especially in the evenings. The Dream Doctors visit the emergency departments several times a week to offer comfort and relief to children and their families in difficult moments. Their presence gives the children the feeling that waiting times are shortened, relieves anxiety and eases the burden on the nursing staff.
We are proud to be part of this mission and to help children find a smile in challenging moments. A big thank you to the Dream Doctors and the team at the Theodora Foundation for their valuable work!
