The UFER („Unterstützung für Eltern“) project of the Saarland Child Protection Association offers a comprehensive counselling and support service for parents with children aged 0 to 6 years. It is aimed at families who face challenges in the first years of their children's lives and often have to manage without a stable social network.

UFER finds volunteer mentors who visit the families once a week and provide practical support. These helpers provide attention and relief by looking after the children while the parents carry out important tasks. The sponsors are available to the parents as contact persons and help them to cope with everyday life so that the families can regain their strength.

We are delighted to be able to strengthen the UFER project with our donation and give families in Saarland the support they need for a strong and healthy family life.

The Deutscher Kinderschutzbund Ortsverband Saarbrücken e. V. has been organizing the big wish tree campaign since 2002.

At Christmas, the association fulfills the heartfelt wishes of children who are not on the sunny side of life. They live in or are cared for in children's homes or other social institutions in the Saarbrücken area. Wish lists from many children in need of support hang on a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Visitors can fulfill these children's Christmas wishes or make a partial donation. This campaign enables us to fulfill up to 700 children's wishes every year.

Financial support for the project "Help for parents and children in crisis situations". This is a counselling service offered by the local Saarbrücken child protection association.

Children and young people should be involved in all decisions, plans and measures that affect them.
