Miteinander Leben Lernen (MLL) wants to take up a new field of work as an "alternative service provider" in accordance with Section 60 SGB IX - for the first time in Saarland, in order to be able to offer people with learning difficulties, mental disabilities and severe and multiple disabilities a supplement to the work area of a WfbM.
In Saarland, there has so far been no possibility of offering people who are considered "in need of workshops" work other than in workshops for people with disabilities. We welcome the fact that this is now changing due to the changes in the BTHG and that politicians are supporting alternative offers. The target group is generally young people with disabilities who want to work on the general labor market. The young people have different support needs in the area of so-called learning and mental disabilities; they may have sensory impairments or physical disabilities. The main aim is to accompany young people with high support needs on their professional path and to provide them with a framework in which they can realize their desire for a job on the general labour market. The aim is to establish a service for the inclusion of young people with different - and extensive - support needs in the workplace.
