Every year, the "Children of Chernobyl" association organizes holiday camps for children from the area in Belarus particularly affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
The children spend a 3-week vacation with host families in Saarland. The association provides transport for the children and runs an extensive vacation program. The costs for the children's vacation amount to around €7,000. The donation will help to cover the costs, in particular a trip with the children by boat from Mettlach to Saarburg and the organization of an enjoyable day in Saarburg. This year, 23 children and 2 supervisors will come to Saarland.
