Stiftung „Ein Platz für Kinder“

The foundation "Ein Platz für Kinder" ("A place for children") builds Mattis castles for children affected by violence.

Our support for the "A place for children" foundation

The proWIN Foundation has been supporting music therapy at the Mattisburgen in Hamburg and Halle for several years through the Rolf Zuckowski Foundation Children Need Music. These special shelters run by the Ein Platz für Kinder foundation offer children who have had the most difficult experiences a safe place to recharge their batteries and develop new perspectives.

2025

Music becomes a bridge here: When drumming, songwriting or producing their own radio plays, children can express their feelings creatively, strengthen inner resources and enter into relationships. The new drums in particular have become an important instrument for regulating emotions, experiencing self-efficacy and finding joy in playing. Listening to and discussing personal favorite songs together also promotes self-reflection and identity development and offers support in difficult phases of life.
In a video message, Rolf Zuckowski expresses his heartfelt thanks for our commitment:
Through my foundation Kinder brauchen Musik, you have been supporting the Mattisburgen in Hamburg and Halle for years with lasting success. The children find protection there and new perspectives for their lives through music therapy. That sounds like we should stay on the ball together.
Rolf Zuckowski
We are grateful to be able to support this valuable offer in the long term and will of course stay on the ball.

2024

A project close to our hearts that we have been supporting for many years is music therapy in the "Mattisburg Halle", a shelter run by the Ein Platz für Kinder foundation. On June 28, 2024, we were once again able to hand over a donation of 10,000 euros to secure this valuable service for the future.

2019

Children's song composer and singer Rolf Zuckowski visited Mattisburg in Hamburg in the summer of 2018. After an extensive tour of the facility, he spent a long time talking to the music therapist about the therapeutic effect of melodies. Music can nonverbally express the feelings of children's wounded souls. There are currently homes in Hanover, Hamburg and Halle/Saale, with more Mattisburgen to follow in Germany.
We are very grateful that proWIN is supporting us in this important project.
