Peter Maffay Foundation

The proWIN Foundation is pleased to support the Peter Maffay Foundation with a donation of 86,660 euros as part of the "Your VAT benefit for a good cause" project.

This generous sum is intended to enable therapeutic experience stays for traumatized, sick and disadvantaged children and young people.

For years, the Peter Maffay Foundation has been committed to offering disadvantaged children and young people a break from their often difficult everyday lives. The foundation's facilities focus on three key aspects:

Integration into nature: Children and young people experience nature up close, get to know farm animals and take responsibility for their welfare. These experiences promote awareness of the environment and strengthen a sense of responsibility.
Healthy and conscious nutrition: In the foundation's Tabaluga houses, great importance is attached to healthy eating. The children harvest fruit and vegetables from their own gardens and prepare meals together. This not only promotes coordination and motor skills, but also sensitises the children to the value of natural foods.
Physical education: Sport and outdoor activities are an important part of the programme. Physical games, hiking, swimming and other sporting activities promote physical health and support emotional, mental and social development.

Thanks to the proWIN Foundation's donation of 86,660 euros, adventure stays for groups of children and young people at the Peter Maffay Foundation's facilities, such as Villa K. and Gut Schörghof, could be realized. These stays offer the children and young people a valuable time-out in which they can strengthen their self-esteem and recharge their batteries. This helps them to cope better with the challenges of everyday life and supports their therapeutic success.

The children and young people take part in a variety of leisure activities and workshops, ranging from caring for and feeding the animals to sporting activities and creative projects. These experiences contribute significantly to socio-emotional and cognitive development and help the children to discover and develop their skills and talents.
