Lenitas' main field of activity is the establishment and operation of daycare centers and vacation care in and around Karlsruhe. The organization is also active in other fields such as youth welfare.
"The target group of our services are children and young people from the age of 8 who have a need for educational support or are mentally disabled or at risk of such a disability and who, with appropriate support, can lead their lives increasingly independently and autonomously. We prepare these young people for an independent life and support them in their development. They also receive advice and support in matters relating to school, training and employment as well as general lifestyle issues."
