Die Brückenbauer:Innen
The proWIN Children's Foundation has once again supported an important project with great conviction.
We are delighted to announce that we have been able to support "Die Brückenbauer:Innen gGmbH" with 2,000 euros. This commitment is part of our comprehensive fundraising campaign, in which we have provided a total of 10,000 euros to support selected projects.
"Die Brückenbauer:innen" offer valuable support to families who have to deal with seriously ill, dying or deceased children. In these profound crisis situations, they stand by those affected and help them to find new courage and confidence through individual grief counseling. By providing qualified psychosocial support and preventative work, they accompany the families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Brückenbauer:innen offers a comprehensive range of support services that is unique in northern Germany. Their multi-professional team helps people to understand and cope with grief as a natural process. The support includes not only support during the period of palliative care, but also in the often difficult phases of grief after the loss. Preventative work is also carried out in educational institutions to provide information about dying, death and grief at an early stage.
As qualified grief counseling is not a legally regulated service provided by health insurance companies, Brückenbauer:innen relies on donations to finance its work. Our donation of 2,000 euros will be used specifically for animal-assisted grief therapy for siblings who have been particularly affected by the loss of a brother or sister. This service enables the young mourners to express their feelings in a special way and receive support.
With our support, we want to help ensure that families are not left alone in the darkest hours. The proWIN Foundation is proud to be able to contribute to such an important project and we would like to thank everyone who took part in the fundraising campaign. Every contribution helps to build bridges that enable mourners to get through their difficult times and regain hope.
