UNICEF and its partners are still working during the war in Ukraine to respond to the rapidly increasing need for humanitarian aid and to help children and their families. The situation of children in Ukraine is dramatic and worsening by the day. Several million people have already fled the violence to neighboring countries or are refugees in their own country, half of them children. The generous donations make it possible to provide vital support quickly and flexibly.

UNICEF has been working in Ukraine for many years. In the current situation, humanitarian aid is being expanded. UNICEF is delivering vital medical supplies and equipment to hospitals, distributing drinking water and helping families in need with everyday necessities such as hygiene articles and cleaning products. At the borders and in Ukraine's neighboring countries, UNICEF is working with partners to set up contact points for refugee families.
