One of the focal points of the work of "Barmherzige Smariter" (until 2018 "Geschenke der Hoffnung e. V.") is the Christmas in a Shoebox campaign.
Christmas in a Shoebox is a gift campaign under the motto "Love can be wrapped". The campaign helps children in need to experience the joy of Christmas. Young and old alike pack bulging parcels to give to children in need.
The campaign was supported in 2016, 2013 and 2012.
