When a parent is diagnosed with cancer, the children suffer too. However, their grief is expressed differently than that of adults. Younger children are usually not yet able to put their worries and fears into words. And even teenagers sometimes find it difficult to express their feelings. It is therefore important to provide targeted support for children of parents with cancer.
With the new "Rainbow" project, the Saarländische Krebsgesellschaft e.V. is launching a special experiential education program for children of parents with cancer.

Offer for children of parents with cancer
The offers help children and young people in a variety of ways:
- They realise that they are not alone as affected children.
- They have positive experiences and return to everyday life stronger.
- They can talk about their thoughts and feelings and recharge their batteries.
- Parents can also socialise in an informal atmosphere.
Project Rainbow
The proWIN Foundation has funded the Regenbogen project several times (2020 and 2019).
