"A comprehensive range of therapies, a special school, a vocational preparation program and nine training companies for young people with special needs are just as much a part of the Pestalozzi Children's Village as the ReFugium, where we take in unaccompanied minor refugees (UMF). As a recognized rehabilitation agency of the Employment Agency, we offer vocational training to around 65 young people from the district of Constance. In total, we provide full and part-time care for around 250 children and young people. With the Holiday Happiness, we want to give all the children in full residential care at the Pestalozzi Children's and Youth Village a three-week summer vacation."
As the children have grown up with a lot of uncertainty and fears in their biological families, the Children's Village often offers the first safe place in their lives. For many children, going on vacation means exploring and trying out this newfound security in a new environment for the first time.
