Kisoboka is a non-profit organization from Tholey-Hasborn that has been supporting orphans and disadvantaged children in Uganda since 2014. Since the end of 2017, Kisoboka has owned a 6,500 m² plot of land in the rural surroundings of Entebbe. Construction work for a kindergarten is due to begin here in summer 2019.
In Uganda, for every 10 children of the relevant age, 9 never attend any kind of pre-school educational institution. Given the immense importance of early childhood for development and the rest of life, these figures are particularly alarming.
"Our project aims to support the children in their development as early as possible and ensure that this can take place in the best possible way so that they can realize their full potential later in life."
Incidentally, in the Ugandan regional language 'Luganda', Kisoboka means 'it is possible'. This is the conviction, motivation and vision of the association.
