In June 2025, our Children's Foundation was able to support a special project of the Christoffel-Blindenmission (CBM): With a donation of €1,000, we are supporting urgently needed cataract operations for children in disadvantaged regions of the world.
The amount will go directly into the CBM cataract fund, which provides medical support for children and young people worldwide and gives them new prospects in life through surgery. On average, an operation costs just €125 - our donation can finance eight operations.

What does that mean?
It means eight times hope. Eight chances for a child to recognize faces, see colors, learn to read - and rediscover their world. Some children have surgery on both eyes, some see their parents, siblings or the light of day for the first time in their lives.
This idea touches us - and encourages us in our commitment. Because sight is more than just a sense: it is the key to education, social participation and the future.
