On March 28, 2025, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook several regions in Myanmar. More than 7,000 people lost their lives and millions were left homeless. Remote areas such as Camps 01 and 02 in the Mandalay region were particularly hard to reach. This is exactly where our aid went.
The proWIN Foundation was able to provide € 1,000 for emergency care in April 2025. Together with other donations, 694 people received direct support. Through our partner organization YOU Foundation - Education for Children in Need, all those affected received aid:

- Food packages with rice (6 kg per person), noodles and salt
- Hygiene kits with soap, detergent and feminine hygiene products especially for women
These aid packages were enough to provide basic supplies for the families for about a month. The distributions were carried out by local helpers together with the camp leaders, often under difficult conditions such as landslides or impassable roads.
The gratitude from the camps was overwhelming:
You came at just the right time, our rice had just run out. We are particularly grateful for the sanitary towels. Others only brought food, nobody thought about women's hygiene.
This aid has not only secured livelihoods, but also given hope. At the same time, the need remains great. Especially in the area of education for children, whose school supplies were only secured until July 2025. We are grateful that your support has enabled us to help where the need was greatest.
